£4,936.08 pro rata (calculated on a full time salary of £25,980) – 8 hours per week for an initial 12 month contract.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Diamonds Scotland as Director to lead and grow our work into the future. We are a small charity, originally established in Aberdeen ten years ago, and now with a national remit. Currently we produce youth resources, host a podcast and operate our social media channels. We have also run day conferences as well as partnering with other organisations to add seminars and content to their events.
The ideal candidate will have a personal faith in Jesus as well as a heart to see young women and girls step into their God-given potential. We are looking for someone with fresh ideas and vision about how this can be done.
Main responsibilities:
Lead on vision and oversight of the direction of Diamonds Scotland
Growth and development of Diamonds Scotland to meet our aims and objectives
Day to day running of Diamonds Scotland
Charity Finances
Oversee and manage budget
Oversee and manage fundraising/ grant application process
Staffing/ Volunteering teams
Manage volunteer team
Recruit new volunteers
Partnerships
Build relationships and partnerships with key individuals, churches and organisations from a local to national level
What you need to have:
A personal faith in Christ
Experience of working with young people
Experience of managing volunteers
Ability to work independently and self-direct your workload
Experience of communicating to groups of adults and young people
Good IT skills
Experience of managing a budget
