Originally from Glasgow, ventured north to Aberdeen for university and stayed for work for an extra couple of years but has since returned to the good old hometown. I can be found living and working in Glasgow. Spending time with family and friends. I love all things music, fashion, beauty and travel.

DIRECTOR (MATERNITY LEAVE)

Hi, I’m Lisa and I live just outside Glasgow with my husband Rob and our little girl. In my spare time I love being at the seaside, learning to sew, exploring book shops and doing anything creative with or without the help of my toddler.

I am so excited to part of Diamonds Scotland, which shares a narrative that is so different from our world of today.

I believe that Jesus came to bring life, life to the full and I think that in living life to the full we need to have our identities rooted solely in Christ. I am passionate about sharing with young women how treasured they are to God and how they are created so beautifully and uniquely to serve Him in their own specific way.

Hello, I'm Ruth. Wife to Dave and mum of two littles. We live on a small farm and love living the country life! I work part-time as a secondary music teacher and while I'm not doing that I love to bake and catch up with friends.

Ashleigh is a trainee art psychotherapist, community artist and charity worker with a passion for Jesus. Living in Glasgow with her husband, Chanda, she loves quality time, Taylor Swift, scrolling home Instagrams, and cosy nights in with loved ones.

CHAIR

Hi I'm Tara and I live and work in Edinburgh. After many years with Tearfund in Scotland, my husband and I moved to Jamaica to serve with an inner city project for a couple of years. We returned in 2020 and I now work for a local charity supporting those living with HIV and Hep C.

Having been involved in various types of youth ministry for many years I have a passion to see young women become all that God has called them to be and am delighted to be a part of how Diamonds is doing that.

I also love to be creative, watch rugby and eat ice cream!

TRUSTEE

Hi I’m Odele and currently work as the Communities Pastor at Central church Edinburgh. I am married to Andy and we have two vibrant, fun boys who I call my ‘blonde bombshells’ because once met never forgotten! I previously worked as a Probation Officer in England and I’m passionate about seeing people flourish to their full potential. It is a delight to have recently joined the Diamonds Trustees.

I also love pic n mix sweets, recently joined the fresh water swimming bug and coffee is always a necessity on a beach walk.

TRUSTEE

Climate activist, public speaker, less waste advocate and environmental scientist.

Laura lives an environmentally conscious lifestyle, advocating for environmental education and climate justice. Her social media platforms continue to grow, creating a community of activists. You can find her on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter all under @LessWasteLaura. Laura regularly speaks in the media, bringing her expertise into conversations about climate, waste, sustainable fashion, and environmental justice issues.

Laura joined the Diamonds board at the beginning of 2021 as a key support for supporting our online work with the experience she has built up through her social media and youth work to date.

TRUSTEE

Sarah is a Solicitor living on the Fife coast. Sarah is a wife to Joshua as well as a mother to their two daughters. Sarah enjoys countryside walks, hot mugs of tea and big slices of cake – specifically in that order! Sarah wants young women across Scotland to discover that they are fully seen, wholly known and unconditionally loved by God.

Hi, I'm Georgia. I love crafting, cooking and travelling. I'm a languages student based around Glasgow, but I'm currently away adventuring around France teaching English! I believe that our God is so big and great that He goes with us and strengthens us wherever we are.

Hi, I'm Jemma. I'm based in Glasgow and moved here four years ago to study Psychology. I'm now working as a support worker for individuals with learning disabilities as well as doing a church internship which focuses on youth ministry. I love going to the theatre, playing squash and reading in my spare time. I'm really passionate about seeing youth people come to know their identity in Christ and live this out so it's awesome to be a part of Diamonds.
