“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” Psalm 37 v7

There are so many things in the world today that give us instant satisfaction, from downloading your favourite song on iTunes to purchasing the latest dress you just saw and loved. Even Amazon is becoming more instant. In the state of Boston Amazon has a same day delivery service!

We are like diamonds, well we are all diamonds in Gods eyes. Yet for us to be the exact diamond God is chiseling us out to be, we have to be still before Him and patiently wait for Him to work. Sometimes it takes crunching pressures in our lives for us to be still before the Lord and wait patiently for what you have asked Him. This time, is such a crucial time, a refiners fire like the heat that the diamond goes through. God is developing your character and ultimately you are closer to the diamond that He is chiselling you into. I would like to leave you with this verse. Even try to commit it to memory…
